South Sudan invites Russian companies to invest

The South Sudanese government has made official overtures to invite Russian petroleum companies to invest in the country’s oil and gas sector, Agence Ecofin has reported.

A ministerial attaché in the petroleum ministry told Russia’s Sputnik that his government is particularly looking to attract Russian experience in the gas sector.

If resources were to be successfully extracted, South Sudan’s government plans to focus on domestic supply.
